PERSONAL STATEMENT
For as long as I can recall, spatial conundrums in art and life has always fascinated me. This intriguing subject is one I can never resolve. My interest in multi-disciplinary fields of study - theology, cosmology and symbolism is evident in my art practice. I hardly ever work in a quiet atmosphere; I crave sounds and music, loud or gentle depending on my mood and feeling. The synesthetic experience of the immersive layers of sound, stimulates my sensory and cognitive pathways.
I work with traditional materials - cartridge paper, Indian inks, charcoal sticks, graphite pencils, plywood painting panels, stretched canvas, oil and acrylic paints.
Since 2021, I have held the voluntary role of treasurer for Women’s Art Assocation Wales (WAAW).
